Noteworthy is that of NC State's 7 top 100 recruits, only 1 (Johnson) plays PG, and only 1 other (Fells) is a guard.1/17/2008 10:39:18 AM |

so they are saying Ben McCauley is the worst player in the ACC? 1/17/2008 10:45:24 AM |

^These are recruiting rankings in their class coming out of High School (Dave Telep's rankings). Obviously only top 100 recruits were included. So all that means is Ben McCauley was the lowest ranked top 100 recruit in his class that is currently in the ACC. There are plenty of recruits in the ACC that were not in the top 100, see Clemson and BC:

Haha... Brian Zoubek was the 38th rated player in the country? I don't think he is the 38th best player in North Carolina even... and David McClure 57? WOW! Tyrese Rice wasn't a Top 100 player?

BC seems to do the most with the least. Telep said he wavered on Rice b/c of his size, since so many undersized guards are flops.
Dook consistently has more blue chip busts than most schools even sign. 1/17/2008 1:06:25 PM |

isn't this just a compilation of recruiting classes over time? 1/17/2008 1:20:12 PM |

I wonder why Dan Werner and Larry Davis aren't in the category of players that left early or never came. Both were Top 100 recruits iirc. 1/17/2008 1:31:43 PM |
