I think it's wrong no matter how messed up or famous a person is, they should give them their space.

on tmz there's a recent video showing how bad it is, she tries to mislead them but they're on her like flies on shit.

My girlfriend watched a bunch of those a couple of nights ago. During some of it you feel sorry for her, like when the media dogs her for stumbling on a huge crack in the sidewalk carrying her kid (certainly this happens to a lot of mothers).

On the other hand she seems to have lost any grip on reality. She wont comply with court orders regarding her kid. I mean you have to be fucking up big time to be a mother with that much money lose visitation with your kids pretty much completely.

As far as the paps are concerned I mean she has the means to move anywhere she wants. If she really wanted to avoid them she could buy 60 acres somewhere else and a security staff for it, she could go live on a resort where the paparazzi cannot get in, other stars do this all the time. It sucks how they treat her but that comes with the territory when you are a star.

I think she is either hooked on hard drugs or extremely depressed, probably both.

It's our fault (our = consumers of entertainment media) that celebrities get hassled by the paparazzi. If people stopped caring so much what these celebrities were up to, celeb magazines/tv shows wouldn't sell, and the paparazzi would go out of business.

I think it's unnecessary harassment, even considering the "it's part of the job" argument.

Jessica Alba broke down crying and called the cops on some paps after leaving the gym and revealing her "baby bump".

I don't think I'd want to be famous if I had to deal with that shit. I wouldn't want to hole up in 60acres of land, I'd want to shop and go out and see the world and shit.

There are plenty of stars that are "bigger" than Brittany Spears that don't get half the attention because they don't bring it on themselves.

I think she is in desperate need of help but is rejecting anyone in a position to help her.

Look at it this way.

If you or I get in a depression or drug/alcohol rut and stop doing what we are supposed to we hit bottom really quick. This entails losing a job, running out of money, possibly even getting evicted and having property repossessed. Hopefully pretty quick we realize we must pull it together and somehow manage to get back on our feet. Friends and family play a huge roll because if we come to them for help, they have an expectation that we improve.

Now a celeb in a similar situation has a long way to fall to hit bottom and can do a lot more self destruction on the way there. Who is gonna intervene in her life? She has more money than her parents could ever dream of seeing. She keeps firing managers and staff that try to get her help. This only makes the rest of her staff want to take a hands off approach, further accelerating her downfall. Certainly she has alienated every real friend she ever had for the more socialite type who probably are not the best friends. She is on a path of destruction that no one can stop but herself.

Here's the thing with celebs... When ever you see any of them photographed at places like Hyde, the Ivy, shopping on Robertson etc....they asked for it. I'm not naming names but my best friend's sister was recently with her best friend who happens to be a celeb, and was hounded while eating at the Ivy and then Kitson and a comment was even made like 'why are they hounding us?' and both me and my best friend could do nothing but shake our heads because they asked for it. You don't go to places where the paps all but own their own piece of real estate and then complain about being hounded.

Given, there are exceptions and with Britney now, its not so much where she goes, but the fact that wherever she goes she does some seriously fucked up shit and she's a trainwreck and everyone likes to look. If she laid low for a couple months people would lose interest and focus their energy elsewhere.

Being rich and famous isn't what brings on the media frenzy...I mean how many times do you see Steven Spielberg or Natalie Portman being hounded. I mean sure there are times (with Natalie anyway), but they are few and far between for the simple reason that they don't go looking for it....

Just move, simple solution. Just fucking move. She goes to the same fucking stores, tips of the paparazzi constantly, and goes to all of the hot spots to eat/drink/party where they sit around. All she has to do is move 100 miles away, and they wouldn't hound her. She still has money, she sure as hell isnt working on any projects that require her to be in beverly hills/LA...so just move to san fran, or dallas, or seattle. Fuck it doesnt matter, just for 6 months to take the heat off a little bit. Even at the height of his fame, how often did you see Chappelle pics, not often, because he has a farm in east-bumfuck ohio. Jessica Simpson isnt photographed nearly as much anymore, she seems to spend more time in texas.

Her second option is to stay where she is and just go and buy this springs J-crew catalog, and dress accordingly. She wouldn't be near as interesting in khakis and an argyle sweater. Stay in the house a little more, wear more clothes, and live a normal life.

Feeling bad for that crazy bitch is fucking stupid....she has tons of options to avoid what she is now dealing with, she just loves the attention, the photogs are her only friends, and her time with them acts as her socialization.
