For me, it was $3, at the electronics section in Walmart.

There was also one time when I was at a military job school in California, I was trying to get a Snickers bar for $0.75 from a vending machine. I didn't have change so I put in a dollar. The machine gave me the candy bar but didn't give my change back. So I kicked the POS right above the change slot with my boot and out came another Snickers bar and 3 quarters.

if we're counting vending machine stories, once at my job the vending machine would give you change back after you made your selection, so you could put 75c in, get your snickers or what have you, and then the machine would spit back out whatever you put in. it was like that for a week before someone fixed it.

Found = $2000-A woman at the grocery store I was working at left her purse in a cart. I found it, looked inside and found her name and looked her up in the phone book. She was so happy when I called because she had just cashed her tax return check. She was in her sixties and didn't look so well off financially, so I was glad I found her.

Found and Kept = $10-I was walking down the street where I live and I found a $10 bill flapping in the street...minez!

I would find $20 bills on the floor regularly when I worked in a bar & would find a $100 bill every now and then. One night I found $60 and 3 cell phones in one spot. I always look on the floor at the bar now.

Also found the student ID of a student from ECU laying on the ground on campus so I looked her up on their site and emailed her about it. Few days later she picked it up from me.

someone had loaded the machine backwards and it was almost empty before it was figured out.
