What are some of the little things you have to adjust to that people might not think of before moving there?

stuff like all the football games coming on early as shit etc.

^^ yeah, that would be somewhat similar weather wise but I meant more like time wise, taking forever for shit to be shipped to you etc.

i doubt it takes forever. bet a plane from LA to anchorage and one to raleigh take about the same amount of time. plus i bet they can bust ass to alaska and not worry about the route

lol, if you mean to imply that you wouldn't post on tdub if you did, no. your one of a handful of people in sportstalk who actually knows what they're talking about, even if you do spam vol propaganda everywhere.

out of those i'd most like to live in either nc or washington state, but out of those 5 washington state is def. my last option

what i really want to live in is a medium sized town. not a suburb, but a good old fashioned town.

i don't know why that appeals to me so much. oh, and i want it to be cold.

to be more specific

washington- seattle
illinois- chicago
colorado- just think its a decent place to live
florida- eastern time zone, cities, beaches- con- hurricanes and jews, prolly wouldnt live there, infact i put it as last place
va- very similar to nc
nc- best state to live in my opinion
ga-atlanta

thats how i feel as of right now being 23 and graduating in less than a year

[Edited on January 20, 2008 at 2:57 AM. Reason : and i kinda want to say oregon...honestly...actually i will...and i hear they have no sales tax]

so from the sounds of it, you and i are on the same page here.

although, i wouldn't say i have to, b/c (on campus in raleigh excluded), i've never done such.

yeah i think that arizona is one of those places that you get sick of. at least the desert part. on the other hand, i think that flagstaff and everything that way would be great, and within a decent temperature and humidity range

^^ yeah, I liked raleigh best when I lived in CV, but then I bought a house out on capital and it was nice, big size etc, but I fucking hated the suburbs

yeah, i'm really not a big fan of raleigh as a city. it's a megaburb, congested and way too hot for my taste.

however my grandparents and aunt/uncle live here, who are awesome, and i <3 state athletics. raleigh as a city has no draw to it at all for me.

raleigh is terrible. wake county as a whole is terrible. i havent totally given up on NC. i did, but i gave it another chance (some would say that i was forced to ) and i'm really liking the greensboro area, plus for whatever stupid reason the same house in raleigh would be a fuckton more and it wouldnt be anywhere near as close to anything as my place now

^^^ after consulting googlemaps, that's not too far from me, my family's in the bethlehem area.

actually in bethlehem would be a cool place to live, and fits all my criteria of being a smaller urban environment and cold. however, it's way to close to where i went to highschool, so i can't live there out of principle.
