Air Filter.
I bought a replacement, but for the life of me, cannot find how to install it.
Such a fucking n00b of a mechanic...I acknowledge this. 1/20/2008 6:20:10 PM |

Are you serious??
Find where the throttle body is and follow the tubes to the air filter.

replace filter, and let professionals do everything else, or have someone show you. 1/20/2008 7:33:53 PM |

Your air filter is rectangular, right? Find a big-ass black plastic box under the hood that is rectangular in some dimension, that the filter you're holding could fit in. Remember that the orientation may be in several different ways, including angled or with the long axis vertical.
Once you have located the box, figure out how to open it. It probably has screws or snaps. If it's anything like the box in the ford vehicles I have owned, some of the screws may be difficult to get to unless you have a very long screwdriver.
