sponsored by the government where you can check your credit once every 12 months?
I'm looking at buying a new car and would like to see my credit as it's been over a year since I've really checked... I'm sure it's good but I'd like to know how good...

damn i might be able to find it if i dig through my emails. i used it and got reports from 3 agencies. i also disputed some things that were ridiculous and they were removed. i dont think my identity was stolen or anything, it was more like a few things with my same name but they couldnt provide an SSN or something and it had to go.
my credit is WAY better than i thought it was. i forgot about how it renews itself over 7 or whatever years, leaving only the good stuff on there. was also hard to believe that i went a 10 year period without a credit card at all. finally broke down and got one about a year or so ago 1/22/2008 12:59:00 PM |

Ugh... what the fuck. I got denied an auto loan from Wells Fargo with a 720 credit score... Maybe it has something to do with being a full time grad student again but come on.. I can EASILY afford to make payments. 1/23/2008 12:09:58 PM |

you have loans from the fed?
I have a superb beacon score, but i can't get a loan for $500 without a co-signer because i already owe the state so much. 1/23/2008 12:15:04 PM |

I'm sometimes tempted to enter my info to see if they even have a record of me, since I've never used credit or borrowed money, but I don't want to create a file for myself. 1/23/2008 5:06:42 PM |

Might want to get on that if you ever want to live someplace where you won't be paying rent...
btw, I wasn't denied. I asked them to review again after the email and they called me and approved at a 8.5% APR up to $40k... which isn't great but it isn't horrible either.
