Just got from seeing the sneak of U23D at the imax theater downtown.
Wow. That is all that needs to be said about that. Just an unbelievably amazing film experience. (Esp. if you are a fan of U2)
Highlights for me were The Fly, Love and Peace, and Bullet the Blue Sky.
I think it starts around here on 2/15 and you should def. try to see it. 1/23/2008 12:10:09 AM |

Yeah, 2/15 over here. I'm ready for it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it from 3 different concerts? 1/24/2008 11:45:09 AM |

I think it was 3 or 4, although it appeared as if most of it was in Brazil or Argentina. 1/24/2008 12:44:17 PM |

I'm stoked. I have the Chicago concert from the same tour on DVD and it's great. They honestly do some of the best concert lighting and that really makes it for me. 1/24/2008 4:08:36 PM |

That seems to be the trend. Whenever they play live they do Achtung Baby and earlier material, and then throw in four songs from their new album. 1/24/2008 4:54:27 PM |

i like most of their material all the way up to Pop, but the last two albums have been way too midtempo for me and they seem to be retreading...there are some newer songs that i think are great like "love and peace," but a lot of it gets boring for me ...there were a couple hidden gems on the "million dollar hotel" soundtrack 1/24/2008 6:40:40 PM |

I saw this recently and despite not being a big fan of U2 I really enjoyed it.
The staduim/# of people is amazing. The songs are preformed really well, and the whole thing being in 3D makes it interesting to watch.
Plus you have the IMAX sound system so the whole thing sounds fucking amazing.
I'd recommend it to just about anyone. For added kicks, smoke a bowl in the car before you go in... it'll be worth it. 2/10/2008 1:22:18 PM |
