Fortune? it seems like there's some "secret backstage clause" that makes them buy vowels in situations where it's obvious what the answer is (except for n_ggers on south park)

of course, maybe they're just stupid

it is called spending $250 to make sure you know the answer without spinning again.

yeah maybe if you get a 2500$ bonus for filling the whole board out or something it would make some sense

OH MY GOD. I swear to Christ that I've thought about making this thread 100 times, most recently, last night. I fucking hate how the audience gets all excited when there's a vowel
...Um, yeah, words HAVE TO HAVE THEM and many seem to have more than one kind so chances are pretty good there will be some there. Furthermore, chances are that, especially in the early stages of the game, you're gonna spin and get a lose turn or bankrupt or guess one of the wrong letters and now you've just bought the vowels for someone else.

Merv Griffin wasn't a fool, folks.

He created Jeopardy! for smart people and Wheel of Fortune for dumb people.

Don't try to bust out of your demo.

Oh I know Wheel is for the dumb people. Just monday there was a contestant on who was a student at ASU (Arizona State) which confirms my belief that Wheel is for the idiots of the world.
