I think a thread dedicated to the general feel of the fanbase is appropriate. One were we can vent frustrations without trolling game threads, and also show our love for this unpredictable school and its sports.

it really does suck hard to be a NC State fan - good god what a waste of facilities, money, and talent we have been ever since Rivers & Hodge left. Thank God I graduated around that same time.

^^ we went to bowl games, won an gator(my b, been sick on meds) bowl vs. notre dame, made the dance, and a sweet 16(i believe?). A lot of colleges would take that, we just have unrealistic expectations for what we should be accomplishing.

not to mention we had the pleasure of getting to watch two acc players of the year. look up how many other acc schools have had that in two sports in a 2 year period.

just saying to not downplay what was done with hodge and priv. as I said, there are ALOT of schools that would take that, not sure why people feel that we at ncsu are entitled to so much more.

when it comes to basketball it's hard to accept mediocrity when your school is 20 miles away from duke aaaaaand unc - both good basketball teams year in and year out, and both teams who get national recognition. being in the shadows of those two schools every year is just not right. why can't we have some success? is accepting mediocrity what we are entitled to?

there is no rule that says just because schools that are near are good at something mean you should be good at it as well.

you can be mad that we aren't better, hell i am. but i'm not going shit on the good times especially when they are so few and far between. and right now a sweet 16, a gator bowl, and 2 acc players of the year are about as good of a run as state has had in what, 20 years?
