Ah, so glad I canceled my service with those useless bastards.
^It amazes me that whenever someone tells people how terrible a company has treated them or how useless their service has been that inevitably someone posts that. It's almost as though people think that some how 2 anecdotes cancel. That's like thinking you not being murdered in your sleep by a girl scout troop on PCP would make such a victim un-murdered. But yes, thank you for letting us know that YOUR service works just fine. I'm sure everyone else's DVR's will get in line when they hear that yours is behaving.

"They said I would have to take the bill and turn it in to my insurance company," Beam told the Kenosha News for a story on the paper's Web site Thursday.
But her cable equipment was nine years old, and the insurance company would pay only a depreciated value, she said.
Beam's case was simply a misunderstanding, Time Warner Cable spokeswoman Celeste Flynn said. Some customers were charged for unreturned equipment, but only because they canceled or transferred their service without mentioning the tornado, she said.
"We understand this is an unusual situation," Flynn said. "All they will need to do is call, and we will take the equipment off their account."
The rare winter tornadoes destroyed more than two dozen homes and damaged nearly 80 others in Kenosha County." |

I guess something downloaded on our box or they updated it or whatever, but the new channel guide look is aweful. It is much slower then the other setup which is all I really care about.

a splitter was the culprit for my channels not working (USA, TNT, etc.) I pulled it out of the signal path and all was fine and working...TWC is not that bad a company either unless you owe them money. when i go to the guide, some of my channels are not listed but if i key in the pad ... i can get to the channel on the guide....fucking sucks

I agree. I HATE the new menu and guides. Slow as molasses, can't fast forward near as fast than with the old setup, stalls while fast forwarding, and takes 3-5 seconds for it to change from "menu" to "guide" and vice versa. Can't wait to cancel with them as soon as I move! 5/7/2008 1:07:31 PM |

I'm calling them today to see if I can't get someone to bring me a box with the old software, which happens to be 100x better than this blue bullshit.
