so i know HTML, XML, a little Javascript and PHP. i know enough flash to get in trouble

what are some good resources to help in creating a webpage for a non-profit charity organization? i said i would volunteer to do it for someone in casual conversation, and now they're calling me on it.

its been 4 years since i did any major webdesign effort, and that was at NCSU for student org and a professor's coursepage.

some key points i'm looking at:

- dynamic pictures, maybe flash-enabled
- interactive knowledge Q&A thing
- embedded video
- donations page, using SSH
- building a google presence

theres so much stuff out there on webpage building, and yeah, i know i can dig around google and eventually find what I need.

its just been so long since i really messed with webpages, i just want to know if anyone has done this type (non profit charity) and where there might be a good set of references/tools all in one or two locations.

w3schools.com is a great source. I would recommend using something like wordpress to get something up fast and easy. The krispy kreme challenge's website is done with wordpress and it takes about an hour to set it up. I'm about to build a charity website as well and will probably end up going that route for a simple website. For donations, just setup a google checkout or paypal with a button link. If you have a non-profit tax ID, you give either of those merchant accounts that and they shouldn't charge you for CC's... I think.
