Anyone heard anything about this? I just saw the trailer for it. On the website, they have a normal trailer and a "rated R" trailer.
I will probably give it a shot. Typical Will Ferrell movie probably.

pretty much every comedian or comedic actor who does a serious movie still has to play a funny-ish, or odd character. trying to do a serious action movie would be pretty tough, and probably be destined to fail.

will ferrell also did that movie with zooey deschanel and ed harris, "winter passing". i didn't see it, just the previews, and i think will was probably odd in it, but its something i guess. he's not a COMPLETE one trick pony.

I'm sick of Will Ferrell by this point. I'll end up seeing this because none of my damn friends will want to go see a quality film like Persepolis or In Bruges or Charlie Bartlett. But I won't be happy about it.

Will Ferrell hit his peak with Talladega Nights, and even that was pushing it. Anchorman was really his first huge bump, and it was a great flick. But now we catch him doing stuff that is borderline retarded what seems like every three months. Did anyone catch Blades of Glory? Horrendous. The only redeeming qualities were 1) Will Arnett being the all-around shit in everything and 2) Jenna Fischer's hotness.

He was pretty "odd" in it. Good movie...but I went in expecting his first "serious" role...and did not get it. Not really complaining though, just think it would be interesting to see him play a serious character

I've seen this guy's name pop up on TWW a couple times. What the hell is the rave about? If I'm thinking of the right person (the evil brother in blades of glory), he's incredibly mediocre and does not stand out as anything more than an extra.
