I can get rpm, time, etc from my datalogs but I'd like to be able to get a rough estimate of power from a roll-on situation. I managed to fab up a pretty good power estimator using zero-to-x times, but couldn't find anything where you can use something like your 60-to-100mph time (and possibly gear ratios, wheel info, etc).
I looked up how a dyno works but they don't go into formulas. 1/26/2008 1:02:06 PM |

which car is this? I guess you could plug in a few data points and convert hp to rpm but that would be a PITA. I vote you find a friend with a Gtech Pro or something so you can get HP readings (or buy one used on ebay for like $40). Once you have HP you could plug it into the equation, or just buy a new Gtech Pro which will give you a torque curve
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/tech/tools/torque.html That site uses this equation I believe I think torque= [HP x 5252]/RPM just plug a few points in

^nah I saw those calculators all over google but they're not what I wanted
basically i want to be able to do something like this:
3000lb car 60-100mph in 4 secs or 3500-7000rpm in x gear in 4 secs
power/hp/torque? 1/26/2008 1:22:38 PM |
