I'm hoping to rent a house close to campus for next year in the area behind Hillsborough St. Is anyone moving out of a 3 or 4 bedroom place, or are there any suggestions for finding a place without driving around aimlessly looking for rent signs in the front yard? 1/27/2008 5:13:23 PM |

craigslist. But you might as well just drive your ass over there and look around. It's hard to tell in craigslist photos just what a shithole you might be looking at. 1/27/2008 5:21:25 PM |

craigslist never has any houses near hillsborough st. i check it all the time. i don't think anyone really ever advertises rental property around there, which is why i decided to look for some help here. 1/27/2008 8:58:32 PM |

Yes they do indeed advertise rentals, you just have to stay on top of it. Also now's not a really great time, there'll be more in the spring as people get ready to peace out.
When we moved from Kent Road out toward Cameron Village we started looking around April and were able to find a place. There were tons of listings in the area behind Hillsborough. We did drive around a lot too and got numbers. 1/27/2008 11:22:47 PM |

I heard before that you have to jump on it early. the last 2 years I waited til April to try to find a house and never had any luck in that area. 1/27/2008 11:28:43 PM |
