Hines is dead wrong on this one.

He's a fantastic receiver but every team needs balance.

Height is very important at the WR position. You need a guy who can go up and get it and stretch defenses.

Too many similar players is almost always bad for an offense.

When you can pair guys like Welker/Moss that's when an offense is at its best.

To a lesser extent look at Muhammad/Smith... neither of those guys has been quite the same since being split.

Hell, even Randy Moss was at his best when paired with Cocaine Carter.

not to mention ward just finished his 10th year in the league, had his least productive season (yards wise), meanwhile ben has his best season by far. Getting a big young receiver would seem to make sense.

He has earned the right to make a comment like that which really wasn't disparaging to ward at all.

Several NFL insiders have said that Roflburger isn't very well-liked in the locker room. Apparently he complains, makes excuses and generally pisses off his teammates a lot. He took a lot of parting shots Bill Cowher as well, which seemed petty to me.

I think Ward looked at this as basically Big Ben saying the current WR core is the problem with the offense. Ward took this to be a little offensive since they just won the SB with the same WR core. I would say Ward has a right to be upset that Big Ben is saying the current WR core isn't good enough when it's been pretty good, except for injuries, this season.

I just laughed at the tantrum from Ward. I also tried to read it and believe that Ward was being sarcastic or making light of the situation, but he just seems pissed and really hurt by the comment. Yet, I don't really see why. Ben gave compliments to his WRs... Shits just funny to me.

its nothing, this is being made into something its not

holmes is a little taller than ward and is better suited for the deep ball but i definitely still wish we had burress...think about ward, randle el, burress, and holmes...plus all the other guys who get in every now and then and make a play, thatd be pretty stacked
