What do you all of you folks at Cisco think about their recent focus on India for the future of the company?

I think it represents a huge opportunity for cisco. Not as the heart and soul of the company, but as a necessary move for us in terms of finding qualified people that can work for us.

We have MANY MANY openings for support and service jobs in the middle east/india/asia. The problem is that we dont have enough people to fill them. India is a great place for us to develop a strong base of employees who can help us deliver services to businesses in areas outside North America.

I dont think it mean that we will start knocking out jobs here in the US, as there are too many businesses who demand local engineers to assist them.

Rather, a large percentage of our future growth will occur in those countries, no doubt.

Its not really about "saving money by outsourcing" anymore, as those savings decrease by the year, and at a large clip.

I agree that the savings of outsourcing will decrease as the number of jobs there will cause pay rates to rise.
