Yeah! Now I'll go back to having nothing worth watching from a slightly increased pool of shows to chose from.

The only thing I don't like about the writers strike is all these horrible reality shows coming out. Good God. Why don't they just show reruns of shows instead?

did anyone notice how eisner said even though the strike is over, a lot of them will basically return to smaller wages and/or no job. FUCKING LOL

My predictions for shows I care about:

Hereos will come back next season
Lost will be able to finish up their season
FNL is done for the season and NBC will probably cancel it (the show itself will be shopped around for another network)
Office and 30 Rock will shoot new episodes for this season

I wouldn't put much stock in an article that's three months old.

Honestly, I think this just means "Heroes may come back this season, or it may come back next season". This show is too popular to get canceled before any sort of conclusion.

What it means is that the studio has not made an announcement yet. It's way to early for studios to make decisions on what they are going to keep for next season. However, Heroes is popular and will more than likely get picked up for season three. The production cost of Heroes is very expensive so NBC might not want to start back up for 8 episodes when the storyline for this season has been wrapped. If NBC did decide to start production immediately then we wouldn't get new episodes for 2-3 months and episodes would begin airing in the dreaded summer months for networks. You're more likely to see sitcoms finish up their season and hour-long dramas to pickup next season.

Office, Scrubs, well-written/pre-written Daily Show/Colbert Report.

Besides that, I didn't notice.

"The Office": Will film as many as eight episodes for April and May.

"Entourage" (HBO): Back in the fall instead of the summer.

"Weeds" (Showtime): Will return as scheduled in August.

"24": Best bet is that it won't return until January, 2009.

I'm having doubts about Reaper. For some reason CW is holding back three new episodes. Based on my gut feeling I think it's a goner at least after this season. There's a chance they'll let Reaper film some more episodes and see how it goes in ratings. I give it a 20% chance of surviving.

if Reaper gets canned because of their shenanigans then i'm glad some the writers lost their job or got a cut in pay

^^Probably best to hold them for now...assuming there will be new episodes produced, they can have a longer second season and possibly build the ratings for it a bit...3 episodes by themselves in January would have did nothing to build ratings (especially against House/American Idol). This is just my guess though.

Those ads could be outdated...FOX hasnt been promoting it all during the strike. Although the networks toyed with the idea of letting the season run into the summer, but they are all run by dinosaurs that are too scared to do something different. Since I doubt they want to let one of their big shows sit on a shelf for a year, my guess is they may do a split season....first half ending in May, second half running during the fall, then back to normal next year. Only other semi-realistic options are shortening the season (but then it wouldnt be 24), or doing a lot of 2 hour episodes (wouldnt hate it).

^^ I honestly think the worst thing CW did with the show was holding onto those episodes. I know it coincided with the winter break but with the writer's strike coming soon putting those episodes out would have meant it was one of the few shows with original episodes coming on. It's always fun playing a TV exec.

here's an updated list that gives exact dates and number of episodes to appear. It's going to be a while before any new Office episodes.
