Well in the beginning of batman & robin, robin looks at batman and says, "Can I drive the car? Chicks dig the car!" At that moment I knew the movie was gonna be horrible.

dumbass

Nothing could top it. It was so good they had to wait 8 years before they could make another Batman movie.

When freeze turned the floor to ice and they clicked their heels together and ice skates popped out, at that point I knew.

This movie,

is going to be,

AWESOME!

Keep in mind, this was the first time they had ever met freeze as well, meaning that they have always had those ice skates in their shoes. I guess if they ever feel like breaking into a spontaneous figure skating routine.

I think all three of them did.

What an atrocious movie. I still remember being in 8th grade and seeing it the on opening night down at the old colonial mall in myrtle beach. Despite its horridness, I remember looking forward to its opening with the same enthusiasm I would of any Bat film. This one about ruined the entire franchise though!!! What went wrong with it (aside from too much camp) was introducing Batgirl. I hate that this movie was so bad because I feel that it has essentially ruined any future use of the Mr. Freeze character and Robin. Freeze wasn't far off from being right. He has always been portrayed as someone from either Germany or a former Soviet province. As an Austrian, Arnold ain't far off from that. Plus I think with his past he is one of the more intriguing baddies in the rogues gallery. Robin, while many people can't stand him, can prove useful to develop plot lines so that you know what Batman is thinking. This way you get to see the detective work as it unfolds in the dialog and investigations between the two. He is also an intriguing character because he serves as one of the few people that Batman can relate his past to. One last thing is that there was just too damn much going on. Trying to develop the characters of three good guys and three bad guys plus that of an almost dying alfred is too damn much for a 2 hr. Batman movie. Warner Bros. gave Joel Shumacher way too much freedom with this movie and it almost cost them their money maker!

I want to purchase this movie and then have a movie night in which I watch it with my friends.

This sounds like a great movie to pair with "herb."

The only thing good about Batman Forever was the U2 song.

Batman and Robin didn't even have that.

everyone should appreciate this movie for what it is

it suceeds unintentionally where 90% of comedies fail

so many factors had to go horribly wrong to make this movie a horrific mircale, the script with so many cheesy lines, the gay director that had closeups of ass and crotches in the suits, the casting, the costume/vehicle design

props to arnold for his performance, he seemed to be the only actor that realized this movie is one big joke and just tried to be as funny and corny as possible

and uma my god, I can't think of a figure that turned me on more than her in that poison ivy costume

"Director Joel Schumacher has admitted to not being proud of his work, despite any earlier statements to the contrary. On October 18, 2005, Warner Bros. released a DVD of the movie with a director's commentary. On it, Schmacher said he was compelled to put in gadgets that could be adapted into a toy line, and that he went too far trying to make the movie more kid-friendly than the previous films."

The Riddler is much better as a serious character than a comically insane one

I don't typically think of Riddler as comically insane, but Carrey pulled it off very convincingly.

well I guess it was the writer's fault then, two face was pretty much ruined too, he was supposed to be completely cold and calculating wasn't he, not some maniacal, outrageous moron, in that case I think TLJ gave a particularly bad performance despite the writing

All it needs is the "POW!", "WHAM!", "BAM!" popups like the old TV show....then it would be the perfect camping experience .

Oh, and Adam West.

To be fair, Joel Schumacher also made The Lost Boys, which may be the greatest film ever.
