i dont think its a big pain in the ass, but most of the new phones i "activate" are with existing SIM cards

(activate in quote marks since i use an already-activated SIM card)

not an iphone, but sprint is fucked up. trying to activate my phone, I call all the numbers they give me, they all say that I don't have an account and I can add this phone to my account and sign up for a new plan....but I already signed up for a plan, etc--spend 30 minutes trying to wade thru their shit! Apparently sprint and sprint/sero are different entities... finally called the sero number and they said the phone is being activated and will be ready in about 4 hours..... *sigh*

so much stress for so little reason. Now I just have to wait and see if it does get activated...

you answered your own question

I had the same exact experience. If you get an idiot just hang up and call again. Once the idiot answers there is no way you can get it resolved without calling again.

just curious, if you sign up for the sero plan online, how long does it take for them to send you the phone?
