sup all, first off i come here b/c i feel like tww will be one of the best resources for this


I'm doing an art project for a side class (being an comp eng major) and i wanted to do it in a portfolio style / art show of the internet culture and its different types

for example

the insensitiveness of hulk on the WTC
and the variouse pedo bear from 4chan
and obv the most famouse freakout pics of lemonparty and goatse

I deff dont want any TWW specific pics, but more internet wide well known pics

and i do mean everything, like i said i want pics such as goatse and lemon party up to really drive the point home about internet trends and the art that is considered within it


I know ill get alot of bs responses but please if you post just post the pic you feel worthy of being internet infamouse. Thanks

i will post a pic of an lol cat, but not cat(s) being as one should make the point

i could care less about what my teacher will think, the project is to take a culture / trend and bring it to light via art. Most common is a time period in the past and taking famous works from that period (i.e. van gogh etc)

but i want to focus on internet culture art, because i think so far, no one (outside of those of us who are involved daily) dont realize the type of artwork we see...and im my opinion the pics shared all over the internet (the famous ones anyways) are art...goatse, no matter how gross, is a form of art because of the global affect it has had on the culture of the internet

Whenever Encyclopedia Dramatica comes back up there's a good series of pics on weegee.

You can also search for over 9000, and generally just muck around on ED and find a lot of those retarded pics that you're looking for.

I'm sure ebaumsworld and somethingawful have the rest (or shumshin).
