So I am trying to install a rome total war patch on my laptop, which runs windows vista, home premium edition, and it will not let me for some reason, and the install shield just keep crashing, I also tried to run the install as an admin, same problem.

here is the error message,

do this

run the install again, let it crash

paste the last 20 or so lines of msi.log in here

lawl, didn't see that he said vista

it should be generally the same

i'll find out when i go to work tomorrow
