Pretty good deal for the Hawks. Maybe they can finally turn it around.

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to acquire veteran point guard Mike Bibby from the Sacramento Kings.

Hawks owner Michael Gearon Jr. says the Hawks are to send four players to the Kings. Among them are 2007 first-round pick Shelden Williams and starting point guard Anthony Johnson.

The Hawks also would send guard Tyronn Lue and veteran forward-center Lorenzen Wright to the Kings.

Gearon says the deal is expected to be completed Saturday.

Bibby missed the start of the season with a thumb injury but is averaging 13.5 points and 5.0 assists in 15 games.

i'm glad that Shelden Williams is going somewhere else. not that I think he'll do much more in Sacramento, but he was never going to get any playing time over Al Horford and all the other power forwards they have on the Hawks.

Only downside I see is that we in Charlotte only get one game to heckle Shelden each year instead of two

But this makes the hawks legit

Bibby, Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams, Josh Smith, Horford...In the East, thats easily one of the 8 best, and possibly in the top 5 or 6

What is funny about this deal is that shitty ass Hawks did a better job filling their need than did the Suns or the Mavs. The Hawks basically gave up four role players for a very good player.
