watching this wake duke game got me thinking. not many could compete with their squad. i think they would beat anybody in the acc if they had some more filler cuz they have the best 2 players.

paul
?
howard
songailla
duncan

duke

duhon
maggette-hill-dunlevy
deng-battier
boozer
brand

unc

felton
carter-mccants
jamison-noel

uconn prolly has the best though actually nvm thats just backcourt dukes size would beat them prolly

what are some others?

UConn currently has:

Gay, Allen, Rip, Butler, Gordon, Villanueva, Marshall, Ollie, Voskuhl, Armstrong, Okafor, Boone, Williams.

Is Cliff Robinson still playing? Dude has been around FOREVER.

You'd be hard pressed to find a team to beat that... Duke's big men are definitely better (too bad Bynum went pro and not 1 and done) but UConn's backcourt absolutely destroys them and UConn also has the better swings.

I like how for UNC you've listed Noel and May who have done nothing in the NBA, but didn't list some guys named Stackhouse and Wallace (who is playing in that little All Star Game), just proves you started watching college basketball when you got to college and became an expert overnight like many on here. I think it's pretty easy to say that UNC and UCONN would be a good match up, both have depth too.

i counted jamison as a 3 along with carter. sheed as a 5.

^more like they slipped my mind because in the 3 minutes making this thread i dont instantly remember guys playing when i was like 5. i know wallace as a pistons player that went to unc while i know felton as a unc player that now plays for the bobcats.

uconns backcourt destroying is an understatement. it may even be to the point where you have an arguement with their sgs vs everyone elses.

you take chris paul and tim duncan and 3 scrubs, be hard pressed to beat that lineup. add in josh howard...

wake def has the 3 best players, after that they get thin though

Wasn't trying to be too rough on you, but when you have David Noel mentioned without Stackhouse and/or Wallace, it set off the alarm

songailla too^

jamison and sheed are both 4's, no question

ehh, debatable. his skillset is definately 3 but hes playing 4 in washington, played 3 in dallas

sheed is more of an ill give u even though hes pretty much the biggest player on the team since ben left (brezec) hes been playing 5 a lot

You know NOTHING about basketball. Emeka Okafor was a dominant big man and is holding his own nicely right down the road for Charlotte. When you did this did you just forget Okafor and Villanueva or are you just a dumbass?

UConn easily takes the prize:

Gordon
Hamilton/Allen
Gay/Butler
Villanueva
Okafor

Those are 7 very good NBA players.

Kansas

Jacque Vaughn
Kirk Hinrich
Paul Pierce
Drew Gooden
Nick Collison

Julian Wright, Raef LaFrentz, Scot Pollard, Keith Langford off the bench

Add several good NBA players off of this year's roster, and they are in the conversation.

If Wake had another player in the NBA, even a complete scrub who should be in the D-league, they would still take the top starting 5.
