Like by just drinking a lot of water/cranberry juice?

Can't really afford a visit to the doctor right now, since I'm trying to buy pants for work.

This is really annoying cause I feel like I have to pee all the time now, but when I go and sit on the toilet nothing comes out, or just a drop or two.

That's what I get for having all that sex saturday night.

I've had one before, it sucks. I've always had to go to the doctor though so that you can get antibiotics to clear it up. Not that big of a deal or anything. Just go to student health.

Srsly, I had one about 10 yrs ago or so. (Damn I feel old now.) Anyway, it pretty much sucked major ass for a while. Dat 190% Cranberry Juice didn't seem to do a whole hell of a lot. I ended up getting antibiotics from the doctor, so I guess my contribution to this thread is worthless.

haha yeah right! I told her it's probably because I had to hold my pee for a long time on sunday because I didn't wanna have to make the driver stop so I just waited till we got home.


I think the worst part of this is that I don't know if I really have to pee or if I don't. I have class today and I'm afraid I'm going to wet my pants in class!

Because my Urologist gave me a couple prescriptions for Cipro, so I always have some in reserve or can get more if I need it.

Yeah I've seen several girls end up with far worse than a UTI because they waited to go to the doc--just go, take what they tell you and take all of it. "Saving" it is retarded and can lead to worse infections if you only have enough to halfway clear it up down the road.

I have kicked a UTI with mad cranberry juice, but it takes longer and that's just more time spent miserable. I had a three day period or so where I couldn't find an hour and a half to run to student health so I had to make do. If you start getting sharp lower back pain, got to the doctor!! It is usually indicative of a kidney infection following a UTI....but if you can get the antibiotics, it will make life better faster...

The stuff that turns your pee orange is available otc, it's called AZO. It's great for pain relief, I use it until I get to the doctor and some antibiotics! Like everyone has said, you should definitely go to the doctor so the infection doesn't make it to your kidneys. It takes like five minutes, you pee in a cup and they give you a prescription. Done!

The doc will probably give you a prescription strength pee-oranger. Cranberry juice won't do anything once you have a UTI, it's good for prevention only. You can get cranberry pills, I take those regularly rather than drink the juice because juice has a lot of calories.

I have an appointment at 11:30 today. I'm so happy my mom offered to pay for it! I had to skip my first class, cause it hurt and I was so scared that I'd wet my pants in class...but I had to go to my next class so I just made sure I emptied my bladder as much as possible (which made me want to cry) and then went to class.

it depends on how far along it is...if you are one of those lucky few that can tell when you have one coming on, then you can drink a shit ton of water, add some REAL cranberry juice into the water (none of that cranberry fruit cocktail shit) and just keep at it for a day or 2.

if you still have it, you're going to be making a trip to the dr. make sure you don't wait too long, because it can move up to your kidneys and you can have more serious complications if it goes to there (or so i've been told).

That could have helped, because it's likely you were a little dehydrated and thus not flushing your system out, which could have gotten it out of your system before it became a problem.

I know it wasn't cause I was dehydrated because I drink water like it's my job. I normally only have the yellow pee first the in the morning...than after that it gets lighter and lighter until around noon when it's completely clear. It was just this particular morning it was a crazy yellow.

^^^Doesn't that have to do with your hydration? The less fluid you intake, the more acidic concentration, thus, the more yellowness your pee will contain. Not entirely sure about this.
