when Easter started, there wasn't much in the way of a Gregorian calendar. Their dates were lunar based, so it actually makes sense.
I just learned the "scheduling" of Easter a few weeks ago.2/19/2008 2:13:32 PM |

i think someone else mentioned it but Easter is always the first Sunday after the spring equinox. Of course the spring equinox celebration originally was a pagan time to party for fertility and the growing season. Don't tell the christians that like christmas; easter has pagan roots that were adapted into a holiday to honor their homeboy jesus.
Shit pisses me off that we get another long weekend 2 weeks after spring break then have to trench in for the long haul prior to exams in May. If i remember right easter was in March in 2005 but at least then it was the last weekend not the fucking 3rd weekend in March. Thank you catholic church for picking a complicated way to select when easter is thus having this bullshit happen.
btw would i go to hell if in 2014 i celebrated teh other holiday instead of easter on 4/20

the time it takes to reach critical energy levels required to pass through the wormhole varies with earths location in space. If you're not careful you could end up getting lost somewhere between earth and heaven. 2/19/2008 2:26:15 PM |

So going by that chart, Easter hasn't been this early since 1913, and will not fall this early in March again before 2124.
That's kind of cool, actually. In an odd way. 2/21/2008 9:11:13 AM |

you really are a fucking tool. Easter is clearly a Christian holiday from the beginning. It's celebrated at the "exact time" of Jesus' death. It might have pre-empted some pagan holidays eventually, but, at its roots, it is Christian.
Christmas, however... That's a different story.2/21/2008 1:02:50 PM |
