I have purchased a new external SATA->SCSI storage array that is a hardware raid system. It has 2 external 68-pin scsi u320 adapters.

Can i get any cheap SCSI card to put in my server that has a u320 68-pin external port on it since the raid is already done in the storage box?

what cheap card would work ($50 or less)? MUST WORK IN UBUNTU 7.04 (64-bit).

the market may have changed in the last year or so, but I wouldn't hold your breath on dual external U320 for <50$

also, unless you're putting this in a 64/66 PCI slot or PCI express x4 you might as well go with dual U160

the actual ports on the device are 2 vhdci scsi 160 ...

do i need a card with 2 external ports? or a card with 1 external port and put a terminator on the 2nd external channel on the raid device?
