tryin to use this software (audacity) to record sound FROM the internet. not an external device such as mic or speakers. any suggestions?

If you have an audio cord with male at both ends, you can just link it from the output jack to the mic jack. If you don't, then you can try to record to something else (tape recorder, etc) and then play it back while hooked into the mic jack.

Did that make sense?

winamp + included wave out plugin = answer


if your stream can be played in winamp.

set the recording device or input to "wave out" or a similar choice.

start -> run -> sndvol32 -> go to recording and do what he said^
