they ask them the questions before hand... it they asked me a question i knew i could not possibly answer, i would know they were going to pick that one near the end and either quit early or just not show up.] 2/25/2008 8:41:47 PM |

Im just saying, when the main tag line in the advertisement is something about how this episode WILL destroy their marriage, the fucking TV executives have gone to far. Who would be like, "I can't wait to see these people's marriage fall apart."

^^ In theory yes, if you register unnatural during the baseline questions....
However I think that a trained reader would be able to see that your are spiking/nervous during the baseline questions, so they would throw it out. 2/25/2008 10:31:53 PM |

Grrr. . .I totally meant to watch that episode.
I really want to get on that show. As my mother-in-law says, I have a high shame threshold. There's not a thing that they could ask me that I'd be worried about the world finding out. 2/25/2008 10:33:29 PM |

So they ask all the questions to the person before they are actually on the show... why do the people act surprised when they get the question if they know it is coming? Also, they show a commercial for more intense questions that are obviously coming later on in the show, then they act all suspenseful when the earlier questions are asked... it's fairly obvious that the person is gonna move on to the later rounds.
And lastly, what is the point of lying? If it is gonna say that you are lying then the truth will come out regardless, so why not just be honest and get the money anyway? 2/26/2008 11:04:50 AM |

I've been asking the same question about why bother lying... I mean, I could think of some questions that I honestly couldn't tell you a definitive answer to..maybe that's the problem? I dunno really, I've seen several times where they are considered liars on some stupid ass easy questions that make no sense, esp after the questions they answered truthfully before that
Ah well, what's the highest anyone has won on there yet? 2/26/2008 11:08:25 AM |

its easy to freak those machines out... my grandma "failed" one because shes naturally super jittery (also worries more than any person I know). They used one on her in an interview for a job at a jewelry place, and all her results spiked/inconsistent/inconclusive during the base questions, so, they voided the test. lol.
