Alright, help me out, people...

Brother got a 68 in a 55 today in Dare county ... by Manteo, NC. Need a good attorney in that area to wipe this thing out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

dont waste money getting it wiped out. thats a small overage.

worry about getting it reduced. if that doesnt work just get a continuance and get a lawyer.

unless the people in dare county arent friendly.

yes, i've used a guy down there. lemme see if i can dig up his info. or, you can call james crouch here in raleigh and get the name/number.

lemme guess... state trooper on 64, somewhere around the alligator bridge?

the troopers i've encountered are raging asshole rookies. the two da's have been nice enough. corolla pd is nice.

state guys are state guys. a few manteo guys are/were rather annoying. kdh guys are much better than they used to be. nh and duck are pretty slack, along with county guys. kh and ss guys seem fair but will get you if you're being an asshole.

Damn....you beat me to it.

Watch your speed on 64 anywhere east of Williamston. Seriously.

No prior tickets...

..and about getting it reduced...he'd still need a lawyer to do it. He's in med school and can't take the time out to drive down to Manteo to appear in court...

Ivan: would help if you could dig up that lawyer's name...or I'll call Crouch...either way.

Thanks.

Mike

mike, if he just wants it reduced tell him to call the da's office and explain his situation as a med student. they will do it over the phone, then you just mail payment in. that's what i did with my first one down there about 4 years ago (my infamous trip where i got one down there then another right as i came back into wake county, lol).

i couldn't find the name in my crap yet, but i'll keep looking. probably be easier to just call crouch's office, they keep a name for each county (if they know someone).
