I know there were some people interested in playing if the field was closer this season. We will be playing at Kiwanis Park off of Anderson Drive and our bar will be The Carolina Ale House off of Six Forks (less than a mile away). The cost for the season will be $65 per player and includes field rentals, a team tee-shirt, mid-season and end of season parties, food and drink specials at the Ale House, and 13 weeks of kickball!
The first day of the season will be on April 3rd. This day will be more of a social "getting to know everyone" day. We will play some pick-up games and go to the bar. The official games will start on April 10th. We will also have a tournament at the end of the season, just like last year.
All players must be 21 years of age. You are free to sign up as a team or as an individual. The only restrictions on the teams are that you must have at least 4 guys and 4 girls at each game and you can have a maximum of 26 players. We recommend trying to get at least 16 to 18 players so if a few people have to miss a game, it won't hurt the team. If you are registered as an individual, you will be added to smaller teams closer to the beginning of the season.
Registration is officially open! Go ahead and sign up! Go to http://www.kickball.com and create a screen name and password. You can look up the division when registering in a number of ways (state and or city), but it is officially called the NC Capital Division. Do not hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions or problems at Kim@kickball.com. 2/26/2008 6:17:45 PM |

If you think about it, $65 isn't much for a tee-shirt, 13 weeks of field rentals for games, free food and alcohol at the mid and end of season parties, and discounts on food and drinks for 13 weeks at the Ale House. 2/26/2008 8:21:26 PM |

I found out that it was available and just decided it was better to have a park that was easy for people to get to. I hope to see some of you out there!
