Or is this just coincidence? I have to hook modem directly to PC (so i can get another public IP other than the one "saved" to my router's MAC).

If I hook it up normally, I can't get to most sites, but I can get to some. This happened right when I changed my ip route in UNS to forced global communications or w/e from Sprint.

wow updated ddwrt firmware and reset the settings, still cannot browse UNS, tww, and other random sites or connect to wow.

Plug modem directly to PC and bam, full access.

I sometimes have trouble connecting to UNS, but I blame it on Comcast. I know they're filtering it every now and then.

What happens if you flush your dns cache? Start → Run → ipconfig /flushdns

That's the only advice I know to give when having connection problems. It usually solves my problems

You know what will take out your Internet?

advertising false BGP routes.

I did that as well

I really don't know wtf could have happened. I even tried changing the DHCP obtained 75.* public ISP IP to the one that my PC's MAC address pulls. Still the same mess. can't ping tww, uns, random sites. But I can resolve them. I've tried verizon's dns servers, Ncsu's, suddenlink's and still same problems. This only started when I forced a route to change on my .49 ip through UNS config, though it's retarded to think that's anything more than a coincidence at this point. Why the hell does modem ~> pc work fine. I hate random issues like this that I can't solve in 10 minutes with variable elimination.

The problem is the same for any PC on my network when the modem is hooked into the router. Some sites work, most don't. DDWRT site works, cnn, yahoo, google, newzbin.
