if you are willing to do homework every night, take it with parish because he takes into consideration your work ethic which helped me get by assuming you go see him for help when you need it.

Just don't steal or vandalize anything if you take this class.

parish is quite good, but he's not even the best prof in CE. not calling you a liar or anything.

Sid is awesome. Just make sure you go to every class. You really dont have to read the book at all as long as you go to class everyday.

be prepared to do nothing but statics the entire summer session. At the first sign of having problems go talk to Parish. It will defiantly help you out in the end. FYI he moves insanely fast over the summer so if you are not up for studying several hours a night you probably are not going to do to hot

If anyone in the class is on here and got the first one on the homework, I could use a little guidance.. All i know is I'm overthinking it.

Or if you posted the page and problem number (assuming the same book is still used) I could give ya some pointers.

There's been teachers and narcs thinking that would be cheating. Be careful if the prof seems like a dick.

Is there a study group for Summer I CE 214? I need to review some statics before taking Mechanics of Solids Summer II.

Theres not really study session, just people doing the homework after class, your best best would probably be to just ask a professor what you should look over.

Hahaha... Hang in there! It's going to get worse are time goes on. Much worse.

Although you are IE so I can't speak entirely for your major, but stuff really ramped up junior and especially senior year for me. Just soldier through and work out as much as you can. Write down all the theoretical stuff you know and you'll get some partial credit (probably).

^yeah, for IE i dont really think I'll use Statics much. Most of what i learn in my major classes doesnt use statics as a fundamental. *shrugs*

Yeah, I had the same thing with CE215 - Dynamics. Every CE has that problem, actually... Haha... I think some of the reason for taking some classes that we don't really ever use is for ABET accreditation.
