Orange box on the pc is great. The console version is a joke because 1) console fps (lol) and 2) no dedicated servers, 3) the people on live. 3/3/2008 3:40:41 PM |

Don't torture yourself trying to play TF2 on Xbox Live. The people who play it over Steam on the PC are mature and actually play the game for the fun of it instead of screaming to each other about how gay they are. The game itself is amazingly fun for how simple it is. The amount of coordination you get if you get a good team makes the game so fun. 3/3/2008 3:48:34 PM |

might be a stretch... granted, there is a much higher % from my experience on the PC version... but i've run into a fair share of idiots on there too... sadly you just can't avoid em. TF2 just plays like a PC game to me, honestly i was hesitant to even bother with a 360 version till someone else bought it and i could try it out, but it's a blast on PC (i'm also a halo 3 player by far)3/3/2008 3:58:20 PM |

^Well, you can if you find good dedicated servers populated by clans with older peoples.
Another point that hasn't been mentioned yet: the maps. There is an incredibly large number of user-created maps and other fun mods beyond what Valve directly provides. 3/3/2008 11:13:27 PM |

Portal is the most innovative game of the year.
Halflife 2: Episode Two is a great continuation of the storyline and fun to play.
TF2 is great multiplayer action.
It's 3 games for the price of one. How can you resist? 3/4/2008 12:19:40 PM |

^^^^Well, you've got all the different classes and they have very different quirks, strategies and playing styles. I think it's much more fun than H3 when you get the hang of it, but "ease of picking up" depends on what class you try first. Soldiers, pyros, and heavies seem to be easiest to start at. It is a pain in the ass to snipe with thumbsticks and then retrain your brain to do it with a mouse, though. 3/4/2008 3:42:40 PM |
