He's going to change things! And he's proven it!
By voting to re-authorize the Patriot Act! And saying that we'll still have significant presence in Iraq in 4 years! And increasing spending! And taxes!
We have 3 out of 4 with GWB, and we all love him. Obama will be even better! 3/4/2008 8:17:26 PM |

Not to turn it in to soap box, but "And increasing spending! And taxes!" seems like it'd be better than just increasing spending and letting someone else deal with it. Just saying. 3/4/2008 8:20:39 PM |

You're right. Which is the edge he has over Bush At least our obscene, multi-trillion dollar budget might be closer to being balanced. 3/4/2008 8:23:14 PM |

Obama is an intelligent senator and does not make ill advised moves based on invalid information...I.E. "The War in Iraq"......Obama sticks to his guns and I can respect and appreciate how he shows his human side towards the American public...and with Bush Sr/Bush Jr.....do you think any of those two pricks would EVER admit their error in any of their acts in congress....just b/c someone is the "Commander in Chief" does not mean they are not prone to making mistakes....and Bush knows firsthand he made a BIG ASS mistake when he decided to take us into a war on false assumptions!" 3/4/2008 8:30:05 PM |

No Bush's policies and ill advised spending which has us in a 4.3 trillion dollar debt is ONE of the reasons, is why North Carolinians are voting for Obama!! 3/4/2008 8:33:29 PM |

^^I guess I should vote for someone because they'll save me 500 bucks on my taxes this year aside from anything else. Greed really is the best reason to vote for someone. That isn't a stab at any candidate, but at the idiots who vote because of that. 3/4/2008 8:35:54 PM |

i was an edwards fan, but it seems to me there is a limit to how much obama's opponents can say things like he's perceived as cool, he's for change, he has very broad & devout support and still expect to have a chance at winning. 3/4/2008 9:15:41 PM |

I love how the media is basing Obama's rise in popular votes strictly on race.....well someone please tell me how many fucking African Americans reside in Nevada, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Vermont, Idaho, Colorado, adn Washington State.
African Americans only comprise 13 % of the U.S.'s population in 2008, give me a FUCKING BREAK!!! The American public is supporting Obama, b/c of his intelligence, his ability to unite ALL sectors of the American public, and the fact that someone could fill an entire congressional library with all of Hillary's baggage. Moderate democrats know that Obama is our country's best chance against McCain in November, and all of thes little political tactics and ploys Clinton's camp is trying to pull will only make Obama stronger in the long run!
Obama's run for the White House is not about Black versus white(hello..the dude is multi-racial himself, so the media's portrayal of his love for the minorities and no ones else is suck BULLSHIT!!)...he's THE BEST Candidate for the job, he loves his country, he's a solid family man, with an incredible wife..and I LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING ALL OF MY FAMIL/FRIENDS HERE IN NC SOLIDIFY HIS RUN TO THE WHITE HOUSE!
I was a massive supporter of Hillary's husband, but over teh course of this democratic process...Im starting to see Hilary's true nature..and the American people can see she will never be as solid a leader as Bill was...and that's one of a million reasons why Obama is going to win over many more non-Obama supporters.

lets not forget.....
he openly admits that he's going to increase taxes by several trillion dollars
here's some of the better ways he wants to spend it:
A $65 billion-a-year health plan $15 billion in green energy spending $85 billion in tax cuts and credits A $25 billion-a-year increase in foreign aid $18 billion a year in education spending $3.5 billion for a national service plan
i hope you enjoy not making shit for money. you'll enjoy your high gas prices with that i'm sure. oh and not to mention the all the terrorists should be long gone, since the repubs got them out. ALL of them. yep. they'll never bother us again.
national security?
lol. we'll never need it again since we're gonna have a utopia.
