i had never heard anything aobut these guys outside of fx until sometime in the 2nd i saw devito on leno or letterman or conan or something talking about it. none of the other guys are big enough stars (or stars at all) to get this type of guest spot

nah devito wasnt involved during the season, but he was a fan of the show. FX told them they needed to get a big name to join the cast to keep it for another season.

and yeah, at the time none of them were big enough for a guest spot like that but at this point i think any of them could be guests on a late night show like that.

I was checking wiki to see if there was a date set for this season and saw this:
