Haven't had/used one at home in almost 2 years. I see no reason to ever have one again. Anyone else totally done away with their landline? 3/9/2008 4:10:35 PM |

Vonage is still a landline in my eyes. It can only be used in the home.
I guess I should have phrased the question "Who only uses their cell phones now?" 3/9/2008 4:28:34 PM |

i had a landline for the first year i had this place, the power company said they'd take care of everything. and they took care of everything in the most expensive way possible. i had the 150/month time warner bill for a year, then when my "special" went away, i killed the landline. been since about november without one.
got 2 cell phones though 3/9/2008 4:31:30 PM |

I've got the Comcast digital phone, only because it's part of their Triple Play promotion. I'd like to get rid of it if I could, but my cable bill would shoot up from $99 to $189 if I did (they hooked me up with the premie HD & DVR package for no additional cost when I signed up).
When I move away from DC to Tennessee later this month, I plan on checking out the MagicJack that Joe mentioned. $20/yr for something that lets me have unlimited minutes is worth it. I hate wasting my cell phone minutes on hold. 3/9/2008 4:36:14 PM |
