meh, it was ok, i laughed but it wasnt as good as some of the other recent ones.

seems like it was one of their 'message' episodes where they took a premise and tried to make the same joke a bunch of different ways throughout the ep.

i give it a 6/10

i thought the whole episode was going to be another story like the christmas critters one the way it started out, the whole tone just seemed to be off. i dont think they put too much effort into this one but thanks for pointing out the philadelphia reference.

I think it was all the little stuff about this episode that made it funny. Magic Johnson just chilling there spinning the ball on his finger when they get there. The Jimmy Buffet thing. Magic Johnson being oblivious to the fact that money is what saves him (in the episode, not in real life). The dude that rolls up in a Range Rover to tell all the people in Nigeria that there's a cure for AIDS. The way everyone's so nonchalant when Cartman infects Kyle. I also think that Stone and Parker were trying to say that AIDS is still a huge impact on a lot of people's lives and people just kind of forgot about them. I would have given the episode about a 7/10 but the Tom Hanks thing bumps it to a 8/10.
