Turns out the airport security official named Yury Naugolnykh is facing up to two years in prison for failing to inspect the aircraft before takeoff. Had he done so he would have discovered the 15 year old boy sleeping in the wheel well of the Tu-154M's wing before the two hour flight to Moscow during which the boy almost froze to death.

So, to sum up, this event actually happened. It was a Tu-154M, not a Boeing 737, and the boy was 15, not 11.
