already searched for general stuff. my insurance has a $0 deductable on windshields and i'm about to switch my coverage, so I need to go ahead and take care of getting mine replaced before the switch.
my insurance recommended sharon's and premier auto glass. any experiences with either? 3/10/2008 4:05:08 PM |

I used Triangle Auto Glass once. They were cheap, fast, and did good work. 3/10/2008 9:09:34 PM |

Safelite Auto Glass off of Poole Road, damn good work on my drivers side and I watched em put in a windshield, they're careful and good people. I think they can come to you also.

^Safelite did nothing but fuck up my Lexus...I had to have my windshield replaced 3 times before they could get it correct and gave me a headache each time. I have a $0 deduction for windows...but when I asked for OEM glass they said that I would have to pay the difference. I opted to their version of my window and hated it. My rear view mirror rattled so hard it kept falling off.
They sent someone out to try to fix it...no luck
Replaced the window again with their shitty glass....same damn problem
Their policy states that they have 3 tries to make it work before they MUST give me OEM at no additional charge. After the third time, I called in and compained again. They told me they had to try to fix it again. I informed them that this would be my 3rd windshield and their 4th try so I wanted OEM put in.
When they reviewed their reccords, they could only find 2 repairs, not 3. This went on for a week. Finally, I called my insurance company and they called the comapny. Safelite said we only have 2 work orders on the car. The manager was almost speechless when we had our conference call from his shop and I had 3 different reciepts from each of the attempted fixes.
I finally got my OEM glass installed and all the problems were gone...FUCK SAFELITE!

Safelite SUCKS, Triumph SUCKS, the truth is, the glass business is such that anyone can go out and buy a van and start a glass company these days so there are a lot of independants running around who can do a great job. I reccomend Absolute Vision Mobile Autoglass Service, 771-7986 or 577-2268 3/12/2008 8:00:38 PM |
