so how do i make the text white with black border?

blending options -> stroke

exact steps here:

right click on the text layer->blending options->stroke->change color/width of the stroke->apply->$profit

I tried to do that in Photoshop once. I failed, though, so I won't be of much help.

was having trouble at first, but had to make the text white to begin with for a black border.
