I'm getting really annoyed with people saying things like, 'and our thoughts are prayers are with you and your family'.... or for instance Mayor Bloomberg saying that he spoke with Spitzer and said to him, 'I did talk to Gov Spitzer this morning, and I told him my thoughts were with him....'

Really? A guy commits a crime (more than once) and gets caught and somehow anyone is supposed to give a flying fuck about him? His wife and daughters I can understand...BUT HIM?

Obviously, your thoughts are also with him, since you're paying attention to the mess.

imagine the simplicity of it had it been a republican.

his head would already be on a platter. he isn't resigning b/c he wants to use his govenourship as barter material later on when he's prosecuted

"damn fool got caught, time to burn the whore-o-dex"

ambrosia....when people say things like 'our thoughts are with them' they don't mean that they are literally thinking about them...they mean it in a sympathetic way....

if spitzer had been with male prostitutes this wouldn't have made the news.

he's a democrat. doesn't that make you 47% gay just for being one?

^^ meh, prostitution is one thing . . . I think it was the potential money laundering and the fact that he aggressivley prosecuted prostitution prior to placing his prick in paid pussy, that landed him in trouble.

It's not gay labeling. It's been a trend for the hardcore anti-gay pro-family republicans to come out from under a male prostitute or a bathroom stall red handed.

Not to say that there aren't gay democrats, it's just that they're way more open about it and less repressed.

Notice though, they're all hypocrites if they're cheating on their SO, it's just funny the repubs. go in a completely opposite direction of everything they stand for when they're 'standing.'

It'd be one thing if he had a mistress. That wouldn't surprise me. But the prostitution thing makes me think he is fucked up in the head. A man that powerful shouldn't have to pay (at least openly pay as in a prostitute) for hot pussy.

Yeah but he might have figured hookers would not do crazy shit like a woman he might be fucking on the side would do. Especially the ones that are getting paid 5k a night, pretty much zero chance she is gonna sell him out for being a cheater.

what you should really be wondering is why it's a big deal that this guy was w/ a hooker.

^^It's a big deal because he has made it his mission to end curruptness in the government and has SPECIFICALLY gone after prostitution rings....

why do you give a shit if OTHER people's thoughts are with him? nobody is forcing you to care.

thats called hypocrisy. and politicians are usually full of it. i don't see why you're acting so offended here like he did something out of the norm or something

Do you REALLY have to say that? If Joe from Kansas has these thoughts in his head, then so be it because no one but him would ever know...but when public figures come out and say that, they are influencing people and actually there is a reason why there are punishments for breaking the law...and one of those punishments is shame and when you bring on the 'thoughts and prayers' and 'omg we feel so bad' then how the fuck is that gonna help deter someone in the future? I'm very in the middle when it comes to politics, but I find it disturbing that no one's 'thoughts and prayers' were with Senator Craig when he was with a prostitute.

^ easy m2c

it's the moral double standard that's been around for years

clinton proved it by what he did. now the standard is just being set higher.. that's all

so because you don't see it on CNN etc means nobody felt that way?

i think you're issue isn't with the people who had "thoughts and prayers" for the straight guy who got busted, its with CNN etc for not giving airtime to the people with "thoughts and prayers" for the gay guy who got busted.

plus it happens so rarely amongst repubs, that they have to capitalize on every chance they get.

duh. the media has been controlled be the elite far left for years now. that's why ppl are supposedly 'caring' for this guy

well I don't know exactly WHO my issue is with....public figures who break the law, on purpose...and get caught don't deserve anyone's thoughts or prayers. Like Bio said, they made their bed.....

And I have no doubt that if this were a Republican CNN would be acting different....and we know that...because when it happened with Craig, there was no outpouring thoughts and prayers. I really want to believe that the 'news media' isn't bias, but for fucks sake, can they make it ANYMORE OBVIOUS?

Jesus Christ

you can't act like the gay thing didn't have ANYTHING to do with why there wasn't more "outpouring" being aired for craig. i'd say it was a lot more of the gay thing and a lot less of the conspiracy theory.

first off less public figures will want to so publicly support a gay dude, and for the same reason cnn is less apt to air those outpourings (yes that decision is bigger than whatever party leanings the network may have)
