Breaking news on CNN.
Some are speculating that Admiral Fallon's comments that military operations were not “in the offing”, adding, "Another war is just not where we want to go," angerered the White House. I hadn't heard anything on this before, it seems to have come out of nowhere.

yeah, but Petreaus wanted to bring in more troops, which is more in line w/ the admin's war-hawk stance than Shinseki ever was.

Well, part of Shinseki's opposition to Iraq was he belief that we'd need at least "several hundred thousand" troops to occupy Iraq. 3/14/2008 5:33:52 AM |
