Breaking news on CNN.

Some are speculating that Admiral Fallon's comments that military operations were not “in the offing”, adding, "Another war is just not where we want to go," angerered the White House. I hadn't heard anything on this before, it seems to have come out of nowhere.

isn't that how its been with the administration? Get rid of anyone with brains and replace with ass kissers?

yeah i just read the article that Esquire did on him

Guy seemed like a real ass kicker that may have been making a difference

If they promote people to demote them in the military, retirement must mean he was doing an awesome fucking job.

Well they did get rid of Shinseki, and he turned out to be right about the occupation, but they're using Petraeus, and he's probably one of the most brilliant men in the Army right now.

yeah, but Petreaus wanted to bring in more troops, which is more in line w/ the admin's war-hawk stance than Shinseki ever was.

In an unrelated note, I got to listen to Shinseki speak back in 1999.

Well, part of Shinseki's opposition to Iraq was he belief that we'd need at least "several hundred thousand" troops to occupy Iraq.
