Yes, I've been reading thru other threads and I've been searching online, but I know theres alot more apartments close to NCSU that I've never seen in an apartment search. I also need some specific floor plan info.

I need either:

1) 2 bed 2 bath
or
2) 2 bed 1.5 bath
or
3) 2 bed 1 bath, with a large laundry room

Other things- safe location, agreeable landlords, quiet neighbors, not to many cockroaches-- those would be nice too.

most people say Ashborough is nice and all

and it is, but since ive started living there it seems in general it is starting to go to shit (type of people moving in)

that, and the parking sucks and the pickup trash service is REQUIRED (at 20 bucks a month)

Check out ivy commons off of avent ferry. Managed by Ammons Pittman I think. It's a nice complex, quiet, has 2br/2ba with a stacked washer/dryer unit and full kitchen, little patio or balcony depending on whether your apartment is at the ground level or higher.

Rent went up to $615/mo for 960 sq ft when I was leaving there. I liked the place.

Ivy Commons kicks ass... Very quiet, very close, nice, very affordable.

because of all of those reasons theres typically a waiting list though... I got my place through a sublease and from what I've heard that's kinda the typical way to get in here.

if you don't mind a 15 minute drive, head down blue ridge/duraleigh or even so far as over glenwood onto millbrook (where i live)...we have a 3 bedroom/2 bath in a gated community for $895/month...mostly families and it's quiet

unless i'm living ON campus, i'm going to do my best never to live near campus again...it's ALL college slums

I'll take the college slums over on campus any day.

no. They are horrible. It's not just my bad experiences with them either.

I lived in sullivan, bragaw, metcalf, UT, & Sumter Square apartments while in Raleigh.

The last was by far the best. But I don't have any other apartment experience to compare it to in Raleigh since it was good enough to stay in for a couple of years.

I never felt unsafe. Its sort of on the Cary edge of Raleigh and Cary has been rated as a very safe city.

2 Bed X 1.5 Bath 1050 Sq. Ft.

This spacious townhouse floor plan features an eat-in kitchen, a utility room, washer and dryer connections and great closet space."

I think that is what I stayed in and was fairly happy with it. I think there are some bigger and smaller sizes, some with and without washer-dryer hook ups. I had a washer & dryer but still occasionally used the laundry room and never had issue with it. My only problem with the two fitness rooms was remember the pass code to get in. Here are the other options:

There were some students there, some grad students, and several families. It was quieter than some friends apartments I visited. The town house apartments never had bug problems or noise problems that I'm aware of but I can't speak for the non-town house apartments.

I liked that it was close to Harris Teeter (the one on the corner of jones ferry & western blvd) & it was also close to avent ferry, and close to shopping/eating/catching a movie in crossroads.
