I have two things I need to post in Classy's - they don't make sense to be in the same ad. Won't let me post the second one. Jeez! At least let someone post two consecutive posts before flood controlling them. Especially in the classy's...

1 thread per hour is allowed in each section because of abuse - idiots are the reason we can't have nice things like this

Well I don't see why you can't let people have more posts in the classifieds. At least 2 or three an hour. It seems different in the classifieds, no one seems to abuse it like the other forums. I mean if you have a couple of different things for sale that really don't fit together in the same post...for instance you have a set of things that are free and a set of things that aren't...you don't wanna put them together.
You'll lose people to craigslist that would suck
One post per hour in each section is pretty extreme.
my two cents
Now I gotta wait two hours to post the rest of the stuff I have available for people...and I'll probably forget

btw, it's not one post per hour, it's one thread.

I do agree that they need to up that to 3-4 for classified though.

There was a girl that used to post everything in her closet in an individual thread. She had like 20 different things at one time, 20 different threads.

People will click on a thread no matter what you say in the title. You could have a thread that said "FS:" that would have as many views as one with the most articulate title.

i posted it in the mod forum for a potential to do item - it does sound reasonable to have an exception for classifieds for cases like this - we'll see

For the record, I can't imagine the owners would really give half a shit about losing people to craigslist. It's not like they get a portion of the selling price anyway.

Any time I've ever needed to sell multiple items, I usually put each one of them up on craigslist anyway, and then create one single thread in classified that has a subject of FS: item 1, item 2, item 3. and then individual links to each craigslist posting.

Seemed to work well for me. Once I was even contacted through TWW from someone who ended up buying multiple items from me "from" craigslist.

If anything I just look at TWW as a companion site to craigslist.

Well I would think that the owners would recognize the importance of classifieds for poor college kids that need furniture and other cheap items. I'm sure they would rather have members post here than on a national competitors site, keeping it more local.

The owners care about one thing and one thing only, and it's not users buying stuff on Craigslist.

For example, look at the time of this post, then ask yourself "When was Daylight Savings Time?"

NO! otherwise people will just start listing every item and clutter it up. Anybody remember gutterslut from last year, listing a fedora hat, a broke printer, a chair, a pool stick. Shits gets cluttered and crazy otherwise

The point is that its all one seller so list everything together, its sucks to buy one thing and find another thread to buy something from the same seller and you could've picked up both things the First time you were there.

Same goes for that one guy Klomeus who has 4 wtb video game threads and continuously bumps them together when 1 thread would have worked just fine. Its also why we got that single thread for buying and selling books makes everything neater and organized.

oooook....moderator seemed to at least find my idea something to think about. geez.
and it wasn't a demand, it was a suggestion...a demand is more along the lines of "take off the flood control now!!!!" as you can see, I didn't do that. I asked nicely and I explained why, and as you can see the moderator felt it should be something to be discussed on the mod board.

SO Suck it!
