Reservoir Dogs

I was pretty young at the time and I didn't understand why someone would make a movie and leave out a crucial scene (diamond heist)

I thought Return of the King was a huge let down when I first saw it, but I've enjoyed it more and more each time I watch it.

Yeah...I need to watch Reservoir Dogs again. I didn't necessarily not like it...I just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

Fight Club. First time I saw it was when I was still being home schooled, and I had not yet met anyone who had not been in a fight. I didn't get what the big deal was...

I thought Taxi Driver was boring the first time I saw it, and the second time I saw it, I thought it was one of the best movies I'd ever seen.

^^ Taxi Driver was an excellent movie, I think.

I hated Boondock Saints the first time I saw it. Then I watched it again and thought the beginning was dumb as fuck but it all came together well in the end.

Usually if I think it's bad on a first viewing I'll still think it's bad on any subsequent viewing. My take?

Movies that at first you thought were bad...

then you got together with your friends that really liked it so you decided it wasn't all that bad after all.

actually thats wrong, for me at least
i saw friday and pulp fiction during all that hype and hated them both
then saw it again and loved, they both were such a change of pace for a movie that i didnt get it at first

Natural Born Killers and Pulp Fiction. I guess it's just Quentin Tarantino's style. I didn't really care for it back in high school, but as an adult I appreciate it more.

Talladega Nights gets better every time I see it. Anchorman was like that too for a while, but not any more. not that I didn't like them.

I saw Dr. Strangelove when I was mad young and didn't really "get" it I guess, but I watched it monday and <3 it.

god its so odd that you all list Pulp Fiction. I remember when it came out me and some friends went to see it and it blew our fucking minds because it was soooo different, so fresh, especially compared to all the other shit that was out at the time. Had never heard dialog like that before, I was hanging on every word throughout the whole movie, cant even imagine someone not watching it to the finish.

we cut it off during the hotel scene, although we were watching it with my friends parents, but to this day that scene is still stupid to me
"will you give me oral pleasure"
"will you kiss it"

whatever

the sad thing is i think the bruce willis story was the only one written by quintine, the others were written by the other guy, forgot his name

third The Royal Tannenbaums

also - i was not the biggest fan of OfficeSpace when I first saw it.....but I think that had more to do with the fact that I was like a freshman in highschool the first time I saw it and couldnt really relate to it.
