i have an cheaper Bottomline that looks just like this (not sure about the model number):



it's currently on my aluminum boat, but i was planning on taking it off this weekend and replacing it with a raytheon my dad took off his hydra sport. transducer mounts flush on the underside of the boat, not the transom. i've never had any problems with it. you can have it with wiring and transducer for $50.
