haaaahahah my dad says "chester" so my sister and i thought that is what they are actually called until like, a year ago. is that just a southern thing? wtf!

yes it's southern, but probably linked closer to bad grammar. i said it too, and i still have a hard time saying "bedroom suite" instead of "bedroom suit" but it sticks after so many years.

then again, chest of drawers makes about a million times more sense than "chester"

I think most of us have at least been confused about the chester drawers thing at some point. Now that you're in the club that knows it is called a chest of drawers it's your duty to act smug and condescending when someone says it incorrectly.
