It is magnetic. That's the only possible explanation for why I have so much trouble getting up in the mornings.

My bed grabs me and doesn't let go. I can't resist the calling of the covers.

i installed pneumatic actuators on my bed that fling me out of it

even still, it takes the sound of the compressor refilling to keep me awake

I recently acquired a featherbed topper and down comforter for my bed. It's everything I imagine heaven to be.

like sleeping on clouds... I just sleep on the couch because I'm not picky of where I sleep. I'm usually dead tired when I do sleep and only require 6 hours to recharge.

You forgot to mention the electric blanket.

electric blanket and down comforter together would suffocate most people or at least have them sweating... a good down comforter is plenty warm even in my parents house at 50 degrees some nights

[Edited on March 24, 2008 at 7:25 AM. Reason : although to heat the bed before you get in it would be nice...]

It's mostly the getting into a warm bed factor. Just turn it on the lowest setting for about 10 minutes, and it's incredible. Plus, it meant I didn't have to turn the heat on for the majority of the winter.

Heh, I find it funny how where if I need to wake up early in the morning, I drink three mixed drinks, get a buzz, pass out (yes, I'm a light weight), and wake up 4 hours later fully refreshed with no hangovers.

It usually takes me about 30 minutes to get out of bed, this is why i keep a laptop by my side.

i like when the sheets are cold when i go to sleep with my down comforter and pillows and its pitch black in the room.

I have to sleep with all the doors closed though. room door, closet door, bathroom door.

it's odd.

And then i usually get too hot and end up kicking all the covers off in the middle of the night.

oh well.

i'm one of those people that would rather have the room hot so i can sleep in nothing but boxers and one thin sheet than have it cold with a bunch of covers

I have trouble sleeping if all doors aren't shut.
