yes morbidly obese people disgust me. i sympathize with a lot of illnesses. but how does this happen? do you just wake up one day and suddenly realize all you can fit in is bed sheets? i mean....when all your clothes got too small did you think "hmmm i am putting on some extra weight" or ATLEAST when you could only buy clothes with elastic wasitbands. i know it is mental but i will just never ever fully comprehend how someone makes it to 800lbs.

and regardless of her weight, i don't understand people that abuse CHILDREN. the kid had fractures that were a month old. who can just hit a child? and who can hit a child and feel no remorse/lie about it? i can quasi-understand a lot of horriblethings---murder, spousal abuse---but i do not understand child abuse.

Nancy grace was saying all this shit about how they would need special equipment like a lift, large truck, and gurney to move her.

They decided it was not worth the waste of money,NG says they were being pussies. I agree with what the authorities did though. The woman would have cost too much of people hard earned taxes to care for and move. Especially since she has not even been convicted yet and could be released on bail anyway.

They might want to wait until she is convicted to worry about how to move her to prison, In the mean time what is she going to do?, RUN AWAY???? (dies laughing)

i totally agree with the "What's she gonna do, run away?" camp (although i dont think she would get bail). after they convict her, they can tear her house down. otherwise, it's just a waste of money. it would be cheaper to just send a cruiser by every day or something.

^^^^ You realize the clinical line for "morbid" obesity is *way* lower than what you're imagining? Right? Just sayin.

That said, I can't fathom still how an 800 pound person could get aorund enough to beat a kid. I mean I just *can't*. I'm not saying she's innocent, I tottally believe she did it, but I'm having trouble figuring out quite how she managed.

That said, what's the point of sending her to jail? Convict her and strip her rights, but jail is a punishment through lack of freedom, if she cant leave her house she's pretty close to that anyway. (Not that I pity her at all, I'm just saying what would jail accomplish here other than a big tax bill?)

^^^ It's not just because she's obese, it's that she's large to the point of being physically incapable of running away or flying on a plane or even most cars or trains I assume. A normal lady wouldn't be released on their own recognizance, but I can imagine that any number of absolutely house-bound people would be. Like per say if your immune system was fucked to the point you couldn't leave your house or you'd die. Or (having trouble with scenarios here but I"m trying to come up with a more reasonable one) say you're physically disabled like..a quadrapalegic in addition to not having the money TO go anywhere. I could see being released then too on your own recognizance. It's done on flight risk alone to my understanding, it just happens to be involved here.
