that's a browser option. you have to set IE or Nutscrape or whatever you use to not play sounds on web pages.

i really hate when ya'll offer that solution, i'm not going to go in and change my browser settings just while i'm looking around tww and then change them back later (usually i just end up turning down the speakers if i'm not listening to anything)

I agree, this embedded shit is getting OLD and ANNOYING really fast. It is funny the first 5 times I hear it, but having to hear it everytime u post something is gay. Half the time, jackleg is just trying to piss people off. Can we please do something, anything about this...

if you have a problem with jackleg's posting then why don't you PM jackleg, whining to jake and joe only makes yourself look like a whiner and it ruins everyone else's fun. We already know not to abuse html, if someone does abuse it then it's their fault, but trying to take away everyone else's right to it just because of one person is not fair. We will put the correct way of posting an embed with the tag autostart="false" in a thread in PP that way people won't have to copy jackleg's edits, also it's not too hard to learn html for yourself, find the correct code and learn how to use it, that way people will stop making these crybaby threads.

nobody is asking jake or joe to take everybody's right away. i read all the posts, and i didn't see anything like that. on the contrary, everybody was indirectly asking jackleg and/or asking the mods to enforce the "autostart = false" option, just like you said they should.

If you would have read my first post, you would see that I didnt ask the mods for anything, I asked jackleg to consider editing his code so it would not autoplay. Where the hell do you get this "trying to take away ppl's rights thing"...nobody asked Jake or Joe to ban embedded sound. Nobody cares about copying jacklegs code and using it...we just hate hearing sound every fucking time we open a thread to reply...if it does not autostart, we have the option to hit play or not, which is what I suggested in my original post.
